Continuing A Century-Old Story
Welcome to our 100-year celebration. This year, we’re not just celebrating a century-old business: we’re celebrating the continuation of a century-old story, one that planted its roots in the heart of this remarkable community.
When Mitchell & Jewell first opened its door 100 years ago – under a different name, A.B. Mitchell Jewellers – I’m sure no one had any idea the legacy that lied ahead. And yet, since day one, our core values have remained constant: the importance of an independent, family-owned and operated business that works as hard for its customers as they do for their community.
A.B. Mitchell opened the business in 1919. Focusing on establishing a name synonymous with quality, Mitchell later invited Bob and Doris Jewell to become his business partners to expand that quality name with that of refined creativity and artistry.
To Celebrate This 100-Year Milestone…

Mitchell & Jewell has a remarkable story behind it, one focused on the quality of a hardworking family business. To this story, we hope to add a bit of humility and thanks, of giving back to the community that has given us so much.
And that’s our story, so far. Though, hopefully, the best parts are yet to come.
